Spotlight on ZIMBA at IIR #Adaptation2025
01.09.2025
From August 10–13, our coordinator @Hai Trieu Phan took part in the 1st IIR International Conference on the Role of Refrigeration in Adapting to Rising Temperatures, held in Manchester, UK.
The conference brought together a mix of researchers, engineers, industry leaders, and policymakers, all focused on the growing challenge of rising temperatures and the pressure they place on refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump systems in homes, cities, and industries.
As part of his paper presentation, Hai Trieu Phan introduced the ZIMBA project, highlighting its core objectives and ambitious vision to support climate adaptation through innovative heat pump technology. The key takeaway: ZIMBA technology offers a promising path for adapting heat pumps to perform efficiently under increasingly high ambient temperatures.
This marked the first time the ZIMBA project was introduced to an international audience, offering a unique opportunity to spotlight its potential on the global stage and connect with those shaping the future of sustainable thermal systems. Sharing ZIMBA in this context helps build visibility, foster collaboration, and lay the groundwork for future impact across both research and industry.
Stay tuned and follow us for more updates as we continue advancing sustainable heating technologies across Europe and beyond.
