ZIMBA M12 Meeting in Milan: Celebrating One Year of Progress and Setting the Path Ahead

Wrapping up an inspiring two days in Milan for our M12 ZIMBA Consortium Meeting, where we celebrated one year of teamwork, innovation, and shared ambition. This milestone meeting gave us the perfect moment to look back at what we’ve built together and to set the tone for what comes next.

 WP1 officially wrapped up with a strong set of achievements:

• Sustainability and circularity of the #AHT design explored in depth

• End‑user requirements gathered and consolidated

 • Architecture studies completed for both baseline and upgraded AHT systems

• Detailed designs finalised for the baseline AHT system and the ejector

WP2 has started to move forward actively

• Manufacturing and pre‑characterization of the baseline AHT system and the ejector have begun, and the roadmap for the next phase is clear: build, test, refine, and push the technology forward.

WP4 & WP5 brought a strategic lens to the table.

• We dove into market analysis, business models for AHT technology, and shaped the upcoming dissemination and communication activities that will carry our message beyond the consortium.

A highlight of the meeting was the lab tour, giving us a closer look at the facilities, tools, and experimental setups that will support the next stages of development. It was a great opportunity to connect the discussions with the hands‑on work happening behind the scenes.

A big thank you to the POLIMI team for welcoming us so warmly and organising everything so smoothly. The atmosphere, the setting, and the positive energy really made this meeting a highlight of the project. Onward to year two — with clarity and a shared vision for what ZIMBA can achieve
