ZIMBA Showcased at ENVIROpro in Rennes

On 17–18 June 2026, the ZIMBA project was represented at the ENVIROpro trade fair in Rennes, France, through the booth of project partner CLAUGER.

As one of France’s leading regional trade fairs dedicated to environmental solutions, ENVIROpro brings together companies, industries, public authorities, and technology providers seeking innovative approaches to address environmental challenges and accelerate the transition towards more sustainable practices.

The event provided an excellent opportunity to present ZIMBA’s mission and technological innovation to a broad audience of environmental and industrial stakeholders. Visitors learned how the project is advancing industrial decarbonisation through an innovative ammonia-water Absorption Heat Transformer (AHT) system designed to recover low-grade waste heat and upgrade it into high-temperature heat for industrial processes. This approach aims to improve energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and support the transition towards more sustainable industrial heating solutions.

Participation in ENVIROpro also enabled valuable exchanges with companies and organisations interested in energy efficiency, waste heat recovery, and decarbonisation technologies. These discussions helped raise awareness of the significant potential of industrial waste heat as an underutilised energy resource and highlighted the importance of innovative solutions such as those being developed within ZIMBA.
